Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 August 2026

These terms apply when you use Avvy. By creating an account or using a booking link, you agree to them. We've kept them short and readable.

1. Who we are

Avvy is a booking calendar for freelancers, operated as a sole trader business based in North Devon, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@getavvy.co.uk.

2. Avvy is currently in beta

Avvy is early software. Features will change, things may occasionally break, and we can't promise uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service during beta. Please don't rely on Avvy as your only record of your bookings.

3. What Avvy does — and doesn't do

Avvy helps you share your availability and record holds and bookings. That's it.

Avvy is not a party to any booking. A pencil, challenge or confirmation in Avvy is a way of recording and communicating an intention between a freelancer and their client. It is not a contract, and it doesn't create legal obligations between them by itself. Rates, contracts, cancellation terms, invoices and payment remain entirely between the freelancer and the client.

We don't guarantee that any booking will happen, that a client will honour a hold, or that a freelancer will be available. We don't mediate disputes between freelancers and their clients.

4. Your account

5. Client booking links

Each client you add gets a unique link that opens your calendar without needing an account. Anyone holding that link can view your availability and request holds, so share links only with the people you intend to. You can remove a client at any time, which invalidates their link.

6. Client data you add

When you add a client's name and email address to Avvy, you're responsible for having a proper basis to do so and for the accuracy of what you enter. If a client asks to be removed, remove them promptly — or ask us and we'll do it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle this data.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use Avvy to break the law, harass anyone, send spam, misrepresent who you are, attempt to access other people's data, or interfere with the service's security or performance. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

8. Pricing

Avvy is free to use during beta. After beta, paid plans are expected to start at £9 per month. We'll give you clear advance notice by email before any charges begin, and you'll never be charged without agreeing first. You can stop using Avvy and delete your account at any time.

9. Your content

Your calendar, profile and booking data remain yours. You grant us permission to store and process them only as far as needed to run the service. We claim no ownership over your data and won't use it for anything outside providing Avvy, as set out in the Privacy Policy.

10. Ending things

You can delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we'll give reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data where possible.

11. Liability

Avvy is provided "as is" during beta. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for lost work, lost income, lost bookings, missed deadlines, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from using the service or being unable to use it. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited under UK law.

If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Avvy develops. We'll update the date above, and if a change materially affects you we'll let you know by email. Continuing to use Avvy after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
