How it works

The booking system film and TV crews have trusted for decades, rebuilt for agency creatives. One rule holds it all together: a free hold survives only until a guaranteed booking asks for the dates.

Pencil

An agency holds your dates for free through your link. Pencils expire after 7 days unless renewed, so "maybes" can't squat on your calendar. A second agency can queue behind as 2nd pencil.

Challenge

When any agency asks to confirm dates someone else has pencilled, the pencil-holder is challenged: 48 hours to book you or release you. Their indecision finally has a deadline — and it's not your problem anymore.

Confirm

Confirmed dates are inked. You approve every booking, agencies see only what's theirs — everyone else's holds are anonymised. "Two pencils on that week" does your negotiating for you.

FAQ

The questions agencies ask first

What stops an agency pencilling everything, forever?

Expiry. Pencils lapse after your set window (7 days by default) unless the agency actively renews — and any confirm request from anyone else triggers a 48-hour challenge. Holding you is free; hoarding you is impossible.

Can agencies see who else has booked me?

Never. Other clients' holds appear as anonymous hatched days — "held" — with no names, rates or details. They know you're in demand; they don't know by whom.

Does Avvy handle contracts, rates or payment?

No, deliberately. Your rates, contracts and invoices stay wherever they live now — direct, or through platforms like YunoJuno. Avvy only decides one thing: who gets your time. It plays nicely alongside everything else.

What if the pencil-holder ignores a challenge?

The hold lapses automatically at the deadline and the challenger's confirmation goes through (with your approval). Silence is a decision too.
